Robert Mullane, Jr. Obituary
Robert John Mullane, Jr., 66, of Frederica, DE, formerly of Salisbury, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus. He was the son of the late Robert J and Dorothy Mullane.
Bob enjoyed life and living it to the fullest. He especially liked to travel and experience new cultures. Bob was family oriented and took the role of patriarch very seriously. He doted on his great niece and nephew, and never missed a known event they were involved in. Bob could always be counted on to be logical and cool headed during a crisis.
Bob was an avid Tennessee Volunteer and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed Phillies baseball and WWE wrestling. He also enjoyed watching old sitcoms on television and being on his computer, often at the same time.
Bob was a 1976 graduate of Lake Forest High School where he excelled at the pole vault. He received a track and field scholarship attending Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He spent 45 years in the car business, the last 25 years as a Finance Manager. He owned and operated The Real World Computer Company for several years.
In addition to his parents, Bob was proceeded in death by his sister, Patricia Parker.
He is survived by his sister, Peggy Mullane; nephews, Trevor Mullane, Adam Parker, and Cory Parker; nieces, Bridget Mullane and Chelsey Sage; 5 great nephews; 2 great nieces; a multitude of cousins; and close friends, Craig and Sheila Cooper and Mae Hughart.
Bob was an extremely smart man and knew something about almost everything. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Please celebrate Bob's memory in your own way; perhaps a toast with your favorite cocktail, knowing that he will always be with you in spirit with a joke or a quip.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Harrington, DE.
