Robert H. O’Leary of Weymouth passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2025, at the age of 73. Robert was raised and educated in Weymouth graduating from Weymouth High School with the class of 1969. After graduating he attended the Norfolk Agricultural School and then joined the United States Army and proudly served. After returning home Robert went right to work and enjoyed a 52-year career with National Grid.
Robert was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all the Boston sports teams. He loved spending his time golfing and traveling with his family and taking care of his yard. Above all else, Robert loved his family and spending time with them whenever he could.
Robert was the beloved husband of 50 years of Barbara O’Leary from Weymouth. Robert was the loving brother-in-law of Margaret, her husband Tom, Terry, Bill and his wife JoAnn, Bob, Nancy and her husband George, the late Ruth and her husband Jim, Liz and her husband Bob and Cheryl. He also leaves behind his brother William O’Leary, his husband Rob of Milton, his aunt Esther, her husband Dick and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services for Robert will be private for his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org
