Robert E. Peil Sr., age 76, of Dubuque, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. To celebrate Bob's life, private family services were held. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street is assisting his family.
Bob was born on April 26, 1949, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Lester and Florence (Bresee) Peil.
Bob married Nancy Kelley-Seely in Dubuque on April 21, 1980. He worked with Morrison Brothers before he was sidelined due to his health issues. He was a huge Bingo player and used to play at venues all over town with Nancy, their daughter, Paula, and Nancy's sister, Eilean Marshall. Bob and Nancy, Paula, Eilean, and Mike and Linda Kelley also took car rides every Sunday, which always ended with an ice cream treat. One of the highlights of their adventures was a cruise to Hawaii a few years ago. Bob loved his family and he will be missed tremendously.
