Robert Charles Pigman, 65, of Orlando, Florida passed away suddenly Saturday, July 5, 2025, while on a family vacation. Robert was a native of Florida and graduated from Pompano Beach High School. He later graduated from Florida Atlantic University where he met Tracy, his wife of 36 years. After college he moved to Orlando and was hired by Orlando Police Department where he served for 28 years. His career began as an officer but included many different departments including; undercover drugs, drug interdiction, a member of the SWAT team, and later the High-Risk Incident Commander. He rose through the ranks and became Deputy Chief. He retired from Orlando Police Department in 2016 and he joined Valencia College as the Director of the Central Florida Criminal Justice Institute. He and Tracy enjoyed traveling and spending time at their beach condo. He was an avid surfer, mountain biker, workout enthusiast and enjoyed teaching spin classes. He loved working on and cruising around in his 1976 Ford Bronco. He loved and was so proud of his daughter Taylor and her husband, Will who he thought of as a son. He loved his family and adored his two grandsons, Andrew 18 months and Charlie, 6 months. He was a member of Eastland Baptist Church where he served as an usher and Sunday school teacher for 20 years. He gave his life to Christ in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Dorthea Hall Pigman.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Pigman; his daughter, Taylor Owen; son-in-law, William Owen; two grandsons, Andrew and Charles Owen, of Orlando, Florida; and his sister, Lisa Pigman-Smallman of London, England.

A memorial service will be held at Eastland Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 2 pm.
