He was born on January 12, 1935 in Croswell, the only child of the late Nicholas and Pauline (Mielke) Putz. Bob married Janice L. Pace on November 11, 1961 in Lakeport. She preceded him in death on December 14, 2021.
Bob was a life long Sanilac County farmer. He proudly served his country in the Army Reserve. Bob flew small aircraft his entire life and was an avid deer hunter. He was a longtime member of the former St. Patrick Catholic Church in Croswell and a current member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Lexington.
Bob is survived by his 3 sons, Mark (Linda) Putz of Columbus, GA, Craig Putz and Gary Putz both of Croswell; 4 grandchildren, Mark Jr., Kim, Nick, and Chet; 5 great grandchildren, Mariah, Malakai, Mackenzie, Hunter and Eloise.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday at the Ave Maria Parish- St. Denis Catholic Church in Lexington, with visiting at the church from 10-11 A.M. Friday morning. Fr. Bala Mandanu will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery in Croswell.
Memorials in memory of Bob may be made to the American Cancer Society.
