Robert Kent Riley was born on March 18, 1950, in Milford, Nebraska, and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska, on September 24, 2025.
He worked as an electrician, building a career in both commercial and residential electrical work. He also drove truck for numerous years. Robert was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his work.
Robert married Kathy Stutzman on December 9, 1967, and from this union four children were born: Eric, Mike, Justin, and Joel. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, woodworking, and gardening. He often built bird houses, dog houses, and windmills by hand.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Riley, sons: Eric (Tess) Riley, Mike (Kristy) Riley, Justin Riley, and Joel Riley; nine grandchildren: Kayla, Conner, Joanna, Mekenzie, Paige, Colton, Lexi, Ceirra, and Samuel; one great grandchild Novah; sisters Sandra (Thor) Christiansen, Seattle WA, Arlene (Kent) Roth, Hutchison, KS, and Cindy Carpenter, Milford, NE; brothers and sisters-in-law Peg Maple, Audrey (Dale) Wehinkle, Jeff (Jeanne) Stutzman, Marcy (Steve) Fougeron, Cindy (Craig) Eberspacher, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Lois Riley; parents-in-law Merle and Arlene Stutzman; brother Rex Riley; Jeff Maple and Russ Riley; Courtney Pohlman and Jill Stutzman.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Milford Mennonite Church, 920 3rd Street, Milford, Nebraska.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Monday, September 29, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at the same location.
There will be a Private Family Graveside Service at the Milford Mennonite Cemetery.
Memorials are in care of the family for a future designation.
