It is with great sadness that the family of Robert "Bob" Lawrence Rowe announces his passing on July 23, 2025, at the age of 65.After a brief but courageous battle with glioblastoma, Bob departed this life peacefully in the comfort of his home in Seaford, Virginia, the very home he built with his beloved wife, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on February 13, 1960, in Portsmouth, VA, Bob was the youngest of three children born to Bobby Jo and William J. Rowe, Jr. Bob's greatest pride and joy was his blended family. He has been married to the love of his life, Sherry Ivey, for 16 years and together they built a beautiful life together filled with love and laughter. Bob was a proud and loving father to his children: Christopher Rowe, Sarah Rowe, Hannah Ivey, Ashley Banks and her husband David. He was a doting and fun loving grandfather to Riley and Dalton Banks. In addition, he was adored by many extended family members on Sherry's side, all of whom were beloved by Bob. He grew up alongside his brother, Bill Rowe, and sister Robin Mcgarry, both of whom he deeply loved and cherished. He treasured his sister in law, Ann Rowe, wife of his brother Bill, and their daughter Lesley Ostrander and her son Justin Ostrander. He is also survived by his niece Cristi Aguirre, and nephew Jason Mcgarry, both children to his sister Robin. Cristi and her husband, Juan, share two beautiful daughters Alyssa and Alexandra Aguirre. While his nephew, Jason is the devoted father of his son, Marley Mcgarry.
Bob founded ACR Technical Services 32 years ago and dedicated his professional life to its development and success. His commitment, strong leadership, and exceptional work ethic, was apparent through the accomplishments of the company and earned him the respect of colleagues, clients, and employees alike. To those who worked with him, Bob was not only a leader but also a mentor and a friend. Bob led a life of hard work, laughter, love, gratitude, and a willingness to go above and beyond for his loved ones. He leaves behind a family who will deeply miss him and take comfort in knowing they will one day reunite with him in Heaven.
A service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, 2109 Seaford Rd, Seaford, VA 23696.
Bob held a special place in his heart for his fur babies, both past and present: Cody, Abby, Sadie, Winston, Bella, Nelly, and Daizy-Squirt. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly invites those who wish to honor Bob's memory to consider making a donation to Homes-Fur-Hounds located in Williamsburg, VA linked below: https://www.homesfurhounds.org/donate
