Born Saturday, February 10, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Bernard and Winifred Tansey.
He was predeceased was his wife Patricia.
Beloved father of Robert Tansey (Cynthia) and his daughter Kathleen Tansey. Dear brother of Kenneth, Bernard, Elizabeth Darcy and Joan. Cherished grandfather to Erin (Hunter), Christine and Kellyanne (John). Dear great grandfather to Nico, Everett, Christoher John, James and Hugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady Star of the Sea located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
