Robert E. Williams Jr., of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on June 30, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Robert was born on May 21, 1941, in Commack, New York, to the late Robert Williams and Mary Noble Williams. Robert was known for his loving and caring spirit. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and warm presence. Throughout his life, he worked diligently in paving and asphalt, traveling up and down the coast. He often joked, "It's time to feed the chickens," when it was time to get to work - a phrase those who knew him won't soon forget. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Willie Roberson of Raleigh, NC; and his sister, Estella Williams of Orlando, FL. Robert leaves to cherish his memory: Six nephews: Harry, David, Jessie, Chris, Darryl, and Alton • Two nieces: Latosha and Melissa • A special friend, Delores Corbett, along with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren • And a host of cousins and dear friends There comes a time for all of us when we must say goodbye. But faith, hope, love, and trust will live on forever. Robert will be truly missed by many, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts. THERE WILL BE NO SERVICES Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, Inc. 39 So. Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
