Roberta Joann O'Hara, 84, of Fenton, MI passed away to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, February 22, 2025. Roberta's journey came to a peaceful end surrounded by her sons.
Roberta was born on September 19, 1940, in Burns Twp. Illinois, the daughter of Lloyd and Emily (Shimmin) Robson. She was a 1958 graduate of Galva High School. She spent her youth in and was raised on the family farm in Burns Twp. IL. She married Ronald O'Hara in 1961, who preceded her in death December 31, 2014. She moved to Michigan in 1971 and resided in Fenton for 53 years. Roberta and Ron started NuWeigh a local industrial scale company in 1982 which Roberta worked for throughout her life while managing a parcel of the family farm. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, Henry County IL Farm Bureau.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel. Pastor Robbie Carnes officiated. Visitation was Saturday, March 29, 2025. Interment will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee, IL. Local arrangements are being handled by Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home.
She was blessed with two sons. Surviving are her children David (Karen) O'Hara of Williamsburg, MI and Timothy (Francette) O'Hara of Macomb, MI. Four grandchildren, Max O'Hara, Olivia O'Hara, Austin O'Hara, Jackson O'Hara. She also leaves behind niece Anne Hathaway, Indianapolis, IN and nephew John (Angela) Hathaway, Galva IL. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Hathaway and Doris Friend.
