It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Robin Charlene Kiffin, 81. Robin passed to eternal life on June 17, 2025, in her home at Elison Assisted Living in Oxford, MS.
A native of Genoa, NE, Robin was the daughter of Richard and Doris J. Thimgan and the wife of Monte Kiffin, all of whom proceeded her in death. Robin is survived by her three children; Heidi, Lane and Chris (Angela) Kiffin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Preston Guillot, Landry, Presley, Knox, Grace, Taylor, Christian and Bella Kiffin as well as her sister, Mary Thimgan (Cleburn Turner).
Robin spent her childhood in Nebraska and graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1962. She went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska with a degree in teaching. Robin spent 25 years living in the Tampa, FL area and prior to that moved many times to cheer on the various football teams her husband, Monte, was coaching. She made dear friends in all the places they lived, including; Nebraska, Arkansas, North Carolina, Wisconsin, New York, Minnesota, Florida, Tennessee, California, Texas, and Mississippi.
Robin lived her last four years of life in Oxford, MS, where she was surrounded by her family and friends. She loved cheering on her sons and the Ole Miss Rebels football team, as well as spending as much time as she could with her kids and grandchildren. Robin had various jobs during her life but her pride and joy was taking care of her husband and children. She had a deep sense of pride for her family and loved to brag about them to others.
Robin had a witty personality and a sense of humor that made people laugh. She was true to herself, to the point, and a devoted Christian who loved to attend church and was involved in many bible studies. As a child, Robin had a horse named Silver and participated in the rodeo. She also did synchronized swimming in high school. She has always enjoyed reading, traveling, and going out to dinner with friends and family. Robin was a lover of all animals, rescued numerous dogs in her lifetime, and is truly missed by her sweet dog, Lucky.
