Rodney "Rod" Berry of Tioga, North Dakota was born June 21, 1944 to Dick and Atha Berry in Porterville, California. They did not have a name chosen for him but he couldn't leave the hospital without being named so they asked his nurse to name him. Rodney Allen it was! Fit him perfectly! He was blessed with two brothers and two sisters.
He married Linda Patterson and to that union, they had a son, Christopher Berry. Chris and Sarah have two grown children, Hannah and Liam.
Rod worked many different jobs in many different trades. He liked challenges and always took something away from every job. Even if it was finding out that career wasn't for him! He met many friends and that was the best part of any job. He ended his career in the oil and gas industry in Tioga.
Rod married Kim Karlgaard Iverson and together with her two sons, Brett Iverson and Trevor Iverson, they made their home in Tioga.
Rod was blessed deeply with grace through his churches, McGregor Zion and Tioga First Lutheran. He loved his church families.
Rod and Kim have two grandchildren by love, Gavin and Gracelyn Davidson. From toddlers to teenagers they both are the apple of Rod's eye. Other survivors include JW & Thelma Berry, Linda and Richard Steehler, Andy and Barbara Jenkins, Florence Berry, Kay and Dwight Blikre, Kathy and Rudy Wick, and many nieces and nephews. His close friends are the same as family to both Rod & Kim and are cherished deeply.
He leaves us with one of his favorite benedictions Pastor Burns shares. "May God be with you, until we meet again."
