Roger Gorges Funeral Service Video
Roger V. Gorges, age 72, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at his home after a long battle with brain cancer. Roger was born April 9, 1953 son of the late Victor Gorges and Joyce (Dexter) Woldt. He was united in marriage on August 21, 1976 to the love of his life Jo Ann King and they had 2 daughters. Roger worked at Presto Products in Weyauwega for 34 years before retiring in 2010. He started as a mechanic and worked his way to ground maintenance. After retirement he enjoyed working in his mechanic shop. Roger was a jack of all trades - repairing anything with a motor! He enjoyed races, watching Packer games, cooking and always looked forward to his trips to Hurley with his family and friends.
Roger is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; daughter, Holly; grandchildren, Kylie and Kimmie and his siblings, Terry (Jayne) Simpson, Rick Gorges, Phil (Lavaun) Gorges, Paul Gorges and Leah (Collin) Reesman. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many in-laws, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his special buddy, dog Harley!
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly; brother, Duane Gorges; nephew, Sean Gorges and step-father Gilbert Woldt.
The Funeral Service for Roger will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London.
The family would like to thank the staff at ThedaCare At Home Hospice for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time. A special thank you to Kurt Houg – his dedication to Roger's well being has meant the world to us!
