Roger Lynn Routt, 78, of Flora, IN, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025 with his wife by his side.
Born to the late Everett and Jean Routt, Roger dedicated his life to his family, his faith, and the craftsmanship of carpentry. He spent the majority of his working years building homes and creating spaces that will continue to stand as a testament to his skill and dedication. His hands were never idle, whether he was swinging a hammer, casting a line, or tending his yard from the seat of his tractor. He loved being outside and busy, which was shown in all of his hobbies.
Roger married the love of his life, Diane (Herndon) Routt, on November 28, 1975. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and strong values. He was a proud father to Dennis (Jill) Routt, Tom (Donna) Routt, John (Tina) Routt, and Tiffany Hayes. His legacy lives on through them, his many grandchildren, and the lives of the people he touched.
He is also survived by his brother, Kevin Routt, and was preceded in death by his sister, Jaqueline Routt.
Roger attended Center Community of Faith in Young America, where his faith guided his life and provided a foundation of strength for his family.
Whether on the water, in the woods, or simply enjoying a quiet day on his tractor in his yard, Roger found joy in the outdoors and peace in the simple things.
A life well lived.
