Ronald Eugene Alderman, Jr., 40, of Folkston, Ga. passed away on March 30, 2025 at Emory University Hospital-Midtown in Atlanta, Ga. following an extensive illness. "Fatman" as he was affectionately known by his family and friends was born on December 4, 1984 to the late, Priscilla Bradley and Ronald Alderman, Sr. in Waycross, Ga. Ronald was educated in the public school system of Charlton County and graduated in the Class of 2003. He enjoyed sports both watching it on television and playing basketball. Ronald was a strong resilient young man that didn't allow anything to stop him from making the best of every day. He loved life regardless of the many hurdles he faced. His favorite sports teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Lakers. His favorite player was #23, MICHAEL JORDAN. Ronald was a loving child and carried those traits into his adult life. He will definitely be missed by his family and friends. Ronald loved his family, and they loved him just as much.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Priscilla Bradley and his grandparents, Earnestine Alderman and Madison Mobley.
He leaves behind his loving family: his father, Deacon Ronald (Rachael) Alderman, Sr.; his grandmother, Albertha Bradley, a sister, Belinda Alderman; a brother, Bradley Alderman; his aunts, Earnestine Reed, Debra Spatcher Stewart and Leola (Roosevelt) Baker; his uncle, Rev. Dr. Robert Alderman, Sr., all of Folkston, Ga. and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will forever miss him.
There will be a wake/visitation held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Mt. New Home MBC, 416 Dixie Lake Rd., Folkston, Ga. 31537 from 5-7 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 @ 2:00 pm at Mt. New Home MBC. Remains will lie in state one hour prior to services. Interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Folkston, Ga.
Repast will be held immediately following interment at Mt. New Home MBC Social Hall.
Services will be live streamed for those unable to make services.
