Memorial Service for Mr. Ronald Ralph Conville, 80, of Alexander City, will be Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Jimmy Shivers will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Ronald Conville, a cherished family man, respected veteran, and dedicated employee, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Ronald's life was a testament to his kind nature, his sense of humor, and his courageous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born into the loving arms of Gordon and Myrtle Conville, Ronald grew up to be a man of integrity and strength. He was a proud graduate of Clay County High School and furthered his education by earning an associate's degree in accounting from Southern Union. Ronald's commitment to his country was evident through his service in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War, where he was honored with the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Following his time in the Marines, he continued to serve as a medic in the Army National Guard for a decade, further exemplifying his dedication to service.
Ronald's professional life was marked by 40 years of loyal service at Kimberly Clark, where he made countless contributions and formed lifelong friendships. His colleagues remember him as a man who brought not only expertise but also laughter and camaraderie to the workplace.
Family was the cornerstone of Ronald's life. He is survived by his loving sons, Tony (Stacy) Conville of Lynn Haven, FL, and John Conville of
Alexander City, AL. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Jossie Conville, Hannah (Jeremy) Cofield, Savannah (Jacob) Blackmon, and Matthew (Taylor) Conville, as well as his adored great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kason and Lainey Cofield, Gracie, Brooks, and Jackson Blackmon. Ronald's brother, Donald (Marsha) Conville, will also hold dear the memories they shared. His life was enriched by the love and companionship of his late wife, Eva Conville, and he was preceded in death by his father, Gordon, his mother, Myrtle, his son, Michael, and his brothers, Herbert Pettus and Henry Conville.
An avid Auburn football fan, Ronald enjoyed watching the games and reveling in the team's victories. He was also known for his love of grilling out with his family, creating moments of joy and togetherness that will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Ronald's life was one of unwavering kindness, a sense of humor that could light up a room, and a courage that inspired all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends, who will continue to honor his memory by embodying the values he held dear.
