Ronald Dreher Obituary

Ronald E. Dreher, age 76 of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at his home under hospice care, with his family by his side.
He was born on January 12, 1949 in Bad Axe to the late Emerson and Ruth (Deike) Dreher. Ron joined the US Air Force, and served from 1967 -1971. He and Mary Detgen were united in marriage on June 30, 1979. Ron owned and operated Emersons Plumbing and Heating from 1980 – 2000. He then served as the Sanilac County Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector, followed by being a plumbing and mechanical inspector for Rochester Hills. Ron was a member of the American Legion Post 197 of Harbor Beach, Zion Lutheran Church, and also served on the Harbor Beach Fire Department for a short time. He loved to play cards with his special friends: Susie & Carl Siemen, golfing, camping, traveling, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and his dog, Tia.
He is survived by his wife Mary Dreher, children: Ronald (Shannon Culver) Dreher Jr., step daughter: Deb (Mark Jackman) Lemanski, grandchildren: Ashley Lemanski, Parker Dreher, Brody Dreher, great grandson: Elijah Robert Teidei, sister: Rhonda Lynn (Ken) Shriber, niece: Andrea (Sam) Lewis, nephews: Nicholas (Yulanda) Shriber, Jonathon (Kelly) Dreher, great niece Sara. Ron is also survived by Matt (Denise) Dreher, Allen (Cheryl) Moses, Phillip (Jane) Moses, Beth ann Krug, Harriet Jozefiak, Beverly Gwisdalla, and Janis Arzadon
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Roger Dreher, father-in-law William Detgen, mother-in-law: Anna Detgen brothers-in-law Joseph Detgen, William Detgen, Jr., and son-in-law: Robert Lemanski.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on August 16, 2025 at 11 am, at Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. Matthew Durance officiating. Military Honors will be given by the American Legion. Friends may gather at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
