Ronald Buford Hill, 78, of Providence passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at his home. Ronald was born on January 5, 1946 in Providence, KY to the late Lee and Ruby Hill. Ronald was a college professor who taught English at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, he later worked at York in Madisonville where he was an industrial engineer, York closed, he then went to Kimberly Clark. After 20 he retired from Kimberly Clark. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Providence. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Gay in 2022 and daughter Linda Gibson in 2021.
Survivors include 3 daughters Wenona Foe (Joe) of Sacramento, KY, Amanda Miller (Chad) of Mayfield KY, and Adrienne Hill of Providence, KY, 1 sister Linda Vaughn of Clay, KY, 12 grandchildren Jacob McElvain, Aaron Foe, Noah Foe, Todd Foe, Andrew Miller, Matthew Miller, Abigail Miller, Joshua Speichinger, Mya Frye, Drake Frye, Isiah Frye, Tristan Gibson and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Providence with Father David Kennedy officiating. Burial to follow in White Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till service time at the church
