****************
Ronald Glen Racine (White Deer) "Ciidadagi Adagi" was born on April 28, 1966, in Browning, Montana, to Kathleen Foote and Newton Racine. He grew up in Montana and, at the age of 11, moved to Parshall.
Ronnie, or Raisin as his friends and family called him, graduated from Flandreau Indian School in 1986. He participated in football and was a starter, as well as a wicked lefthander on the basketball team. Ronnie used to reminisce about how they were undefeated on their home court.
He then attended Haskell Indian Junior College, where he met his love, Shirley Bryant. They were together for 35 years. In 1994, they moved to Arizona, where they remained until 2010, when they returned to Parshall.
During his life, he worked for the Delvin Foote Rodeo Company and various construction companies, including those specializing in concrete and masonry. He boxed at the Parshall Boxing Club for Bob Walsh and rode bareback in rodeos and raced horses.
He loved rodeos, old cars, being a cowboy, his '80s music, and his favorite '70s and '80s TV shows. One of his favorite lyrics, that he sang often, was "I'm just an old chunk of coal, but I'll be a diamond someday." He also enjoyed collecting coins, relaxing at home, and socializing with friends and family.
Ronnie was a handsome man. He loved his Shirley, his kids, and his grandkids. His grandkids called him Papa, and he cherished talking to others about them. He also loved his puppies, Heckyll and Jeckyll.
Ronnie rode off into the sunset on July 10, 2025, at his home in Parshall. Rest in Peace, Ronnie...our Cowboy rides away...until we meet again.
Ronnie is survived by his companion, Shirley Bryant of Parshall; daughter, Starr Racine of Fargo; son, Justin Solis of Denver; father, Newton Racine of Browning; brothers, Justin Racine of Wilton, Arlen Rabbithead of Parshall, Corey Rabbithead of New Town, and Chris Racine of Browning; sister, Angela Malatare of Missoula; auntie/mom, Caroleen Foote of Parshall; grandchildren, Jreyden, Skye, Omari, Natalia, Avianna, and Ellamae; and several friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother; son, Shane; daughters, Summer and Jessicah; grandchildren, Jace and Jeliyah; brother, Davey; and a nephew, Casey.
