Ronald Richard Reinhard, 77, of Sturgeon Bay, passed peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Door County Medical Center with his wife, Bonnie, by his side. His family is grateful that he succeeded in his final wish to escort his daughter, Staci, down the aisle on her wedding day, Friday, August 1, 2025. Ron was all smiles as he was surrounded by family and friends, celebrating that very joyous occasion.

Ron was born May 12, 1948 in Sturgeon Bay, son of the late Richard and Gladys (Langoehr) Reinhard. He graduated from Sevastopol High School, class of 1966. After graduating, Ron served his country in the U.S. Army for four years. He was stationed in Germany as a supply clerk in E Company 122D Maintenance Battalion.

On September 6, 1980 Ron married his best friend and the love of his life, Bonnie Marie Kiehnau, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Egg Harbor.

Ron worked for 31 years at Emerson Motor Manufacturing, first as a machinist and later on as a machine maintenance technician. He continued his career at NEW Industries for seven years before retiring in 2010.

As a dedicated husband and father, Ron's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. A favorite activity of his was daily motorcycle rides. His wife and children cherish the memories made while riding on the back of Ron's bike, exploring the scenic backroads of Door County.

An avid sports fan, Ron rooted for the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and local sports teams. He also followed college and international sports teams, as well as Little League baseball. He enjoyed reading each day, especially mystery novels. Ron was fond of taking long walks with his wife, be it nature trails or city streets, chatting about anything and everything, as they were truly a team.

Ron will be especially missed by those who loved him most, including his wife of almost 45 years, Bonnie of Sturgeon Bay; his three children, Tyler (Lacey) Reinhard of Kimberly, Staci (Connor) Reinhard-Daws of Sturgeon Bay, and Kayley (Thomas) Hansen of Brussels; grandson, Kaden Reinhard; mother-in-law, Ellen Kiehnau; brothers-in-law, Daniel (Patricia) Kiehnau, Richard (Karen) Kiehnau, Brian (friend, Bonnie) Kiehnau, and Robert (Julie) Kiehnau; cousins, Louis Corwin, and Laurie Kostac; many nieces and nephews; as well as several dear friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Travis; and father-in-law, Allen Kiehnau Jr.

Ron's life will be honored with a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Egg Harbor, with Rev. Frank Maxwell officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Egg Harbor Town Cemetery. Military honors will be held at the church immediately following the service.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, at Huehns Funeral Home, and at Calvary United Methodist Church, Saturday, August 9, from noon until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.

Ron was a generous supporter of charitable causes throughout his life. Please consider memorials in his name to ALS Association - Wisconsin Chapter (www.alsawi.org), Sunshine Resources of Door County (www.sunshineresources.org), Door CANcer, Inc. (www.door.cancer.com), or Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
