Ronald Wayne Schauer December 13, 1969 – June 11, 2025
Ronald Wayne Schauer, 55, of Spring Valley, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ptak Funeral Home in Peru. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ptak Funeral Home.
Ron was born on December 13, 1969, to Ronald Schauer Sr. and Paulette (Helsley) Schauer. A skilled and hardworking auto-truck mechanic, he dedicated many years of service to I-80 Equipment in Colona, IL.
Ron was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his sons, Colin (Ashlyn Soupa) Schauer of Neponset and Christopher Bourey of Princeton; and his daughters, Nicole Schauer of Princeton, Madison Schauer of Marseilles, and Crystal Kuhlman of Princeton. He also leaves behind his former wife, Dawn Schauer of Spring Valley, and his close friend, Trinia Bourey of Princeton.
Ron took great pride in his large and loving family, which includes 18 grandchildren: Aurora LeAnn Schauer, Kendall Ann Schauer, Weston Moorman, Oakley Moorman, Melody Bourey, Raiden Bourey, Kota Kuhlmann, Arabell Kuhlmann, Aiven Bourey, Zuko Kuhlmann, Ember Bourey, Xander Kuhlmann, Ace Bourey, Lyla, Riverlynn Schauer, Maverik Schauer, Hazel Lerfald, and August Lerfald.
Ron will be remembered for his strong work ethic, dedication to his family, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him.
