Ronald Wayde Smith, affectionately known as Ronnie, age 67, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in Conroe. Ronnie was born on January 29, 1958, in Houston to parents, Rueben Eugene Smith and Signey Jean Lund Smith. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of laughter, family, and friendship.

Ronnie's life was filled with the simple joys that brought him the most happiness: spending time with family and friends, bowling, BBQing, fishing, and cheering on his favorite team, the Houston Astros. Whether he was cruising around town to visit loved ones or relaxing at home, you could often find him grilling something delicious or sneaking in a well-earned nap. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ronnie is survived by his beloved mother, Jean Smith; children, Daniel Smith and wife, Sarah, Alan Chavis and wife, Brooke, Cyndi Carevic and husband, Tommy, Pamela Chavis, Mary Folk, and Pamela Middleton and husband, Troy; siblings, Rusty Smith and wife, Michelle, Ricky Smith and wife, Melissa, Jackie Smith.

Ronnie was a proud grandfather to Triston, Maicey, Kierynn, Tommy, Max, Lauren, Shane, Austin, Morgan, Brittany, Jake, Corey, Heather, and Holly, and a great-grandfather to 11 precious great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Smith; his wife, Polly Smith; and great-granddaughter, Whitley Shields.

Funeral services for Ronald Wayde "Ronnie" Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025 at the Callaway- Allee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Leon Wallace officiating. Interment to follow at the Shady Grove Cemetery.
