Rondal E. "Ron" Hansard December 25, 1941 - June 29, 2025 Rondal E. Hansard, age 83, known to many as Ron, passed away on June 29, 2025, at his home in Tazewell, Tennessee. He was born on December 26, 1941, in Tazewell, Tennessee to Willard and Irene Hansard.
Ron was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving his country with honor before embarking on a distinguished career at the Ford Motor Company in Sandusky, Ohio, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. Ron was a member of the Goins Chapel Baptist Church.
Though he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Katherine, his parents Willard and Irene Hansard, his sister Wilma Pierce and husband J.D., and brothers Doyle and wife Phyllis and Void Hansard, Ron's legacy continues through his cherished family. He was a loving father to his daughter Carrie Franklin and her husband Robert, his sons Jeff Hansard, and Mark Hansard and his wife Sharon. His role as a grandfather was one of his greatest joys, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom to his grandchildren Tayler Serraino and wife Martha, Teri Crawford and her husband John, Kailey Serraino, Cassidy Stock, and Brady Hansard. Ron also had the pleasure of being a great-grandfather to Sutton Crawford Avett Serraino, Isla Serraino, Tatem Stock, and Aiden Stock.
He is also survived by his brothers Mike Hansard and his wife Nancy, Larry Dean Hansard and his wife Mary Frances and sister-in-law Eva Hansard.
As we bid farewell to Ron, we celebrate a life well lived-a life that touched the hearts of so many and left an indelible mark on the world.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday July 5, 2025, in the Moody Cemetery with full Military Honors with the Rev. Jack Day officiating.
Pallbearers: Tayler Serraino, Brady Hansard, Mark Hansard, Jeff Hansard, and Mike Hansard.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Moody Cemetery
