Ronald Ray Cobb, born on February 13, 1967, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his residence. Ronnie was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter, Brilee; father, Lionel Ray Cobb, stepfather, Johnnie Hodge; grandparents, Lena and Virgil Young; two loving aunts, Sherry Samples, and Carol Kelly. He leaves behind his loving and devoted mother, Jeanie Hodge; one son, Terry Ray Cobb, who was his shot gun rider for 25 years; one daughter, Destiny Desiree Cobb, who was one of his biggest supporters and his pride and joy who gave him his most prized gift of being a Papaw to Dezirae "Dezzy" whom he adored; mother of his children, Mary Houseman, whom he could always count on; siblings, Terri (Mike) Whitman, Troy (Heather) Cobb, Heidi Cobb (Jackie Truelove), Sheri (Carroll) Cate; nieces and nephews, Kristin, Kayla, Koree, Timothy, Wes, Rachel, Chelsea, Taylor, Kennedy, and Knox, whom he loved fiercely; cousins that were lifelong friends, Debbie, Pam, Michael, Kelly, Connie, Nikki, Daniel, and Ike. When Ronnie was a child, he would always tell anyone who would listen that he wanted to be a truck driving preacher when he grew up. He fell in love with climbing trees very early in life and made it, not only a lifelong career but a passion and he excelled in it. Ronnie had a heart of pure gold for children, the elderly, and those who were less fortunate. He loved all his family. Ronnie would always use his talents as an Arborist, to help aid in storm relief and even received a letter from the President of The United States for his relief efforts in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. Ronnie knew the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and though he will be so greatly missed, we know that we will see Ronnie again. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Cookson Creek Baptist Church. His family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.HigginsFunerals.com. Arrangements entrusted to Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
