Roosevelt J. Fiori, 92, of Johnson City, born in Endicott, NY, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather passed away on July 11, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Barbara Fiori along with his four children, Catherine Hernandez (John), Lawrence J. Fiori, Sylvia Bertoni (Chuck) and Anne M. Seccia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Agnes Fiori as well as four siblings.
As a young man, Roosevelt was in the Air Force serving as an Air Policeman. He was stationed in New Mexico, where he met his loving wife. Roosevelt was undefeated as amateur boxer. Following his service in the Air Force, he became a guard and received a promotion to manager of security at the Federal Systems Division plant of IBM in Owego, NY. Roosevelt retired after many years of service.
Roosevelt loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was so proud of his family and loved celebrating all the milestones. His loyalty, love, pride and work ethics will forever be a part of our hearts. He was a skilled hunter and fisherman, spent hours gardening, and loved playing poker, especially with his family. Roosevelt was a keen scrabble player.
Roosevelt will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of having him in their lives.
The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Thursday, July 17, from 9:30 to 11 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
