Rosario Casanova Galán, age 94, of Celina, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
Born May 1, 1931, in Distrito Pachiza, provincia de Mariscal Cáceres, Juanjui, Peru, she was a daughter of Teófilo Casanova de la Cruz and Catalina Galán Vásquez.
Rosario is survived by 2 sons: Eduardo Montalván Casanova and Pedro Ruiz Casanova, and a daughter and son-in-law: Rosario del Carmen Ruiz Casanova and Alfonso Maciel.
Also surviving are 8 grandsons: Pedro, Daniel, Miguel, David, Pier, Franco, Emanuel and Jordan, 2 granddaughters: Tracy and Caty, and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Beningo Casanova Galán, Gregorio Casanova Galán, Teadulfo Casanova Galán and Roberto Casanova Galán, and 3 sisters: Rudulfina Casanova Galán, Asteria Casanova Galán and Elcira Casanova Galán.
Rosario had earned a Master's Degree in Education, and was an Elementary Schoolteacher and Principal in Peru for 30 years. She was a member of the Teacher's Association in Peru.
Rosario enjoyed spending time reading the Bible and sharing the Gospel with people.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00

, Thursday, July 10, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Ivan Aleman officiating.
Burial will take place at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Visitation Hours are 11:00

and 3:00 to 8:00
PM
