She was born January 7, 1953 in Homerville to the late Frank Stevenson and Mary Williams Stevenson. Rose owned and operated Rose's Produce at the Farmer's Market for over 30 years. She attended Swamp Road Baptist Church, and her favorite pastime was fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Collins, Alfred Stevenson, James Stevenson, and Robert Stevenson.
Survivors include three children, Michael Hunter (Alicia) of Waycross, Michelle Porter of Waycross, and Ricky Gay (Amy) of Blackshear; granddaughter, Christy Moye (James); great grandchildren, Ally Porter, Cameron Hunter, Karsyn Crawford, and Jocesse Moye; sister, Patricia Carter of Jesup; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday (July 2, 2025) at Swamp Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501.
