Rose Marie Champ, age 89, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at her home. She was born July 19, 1935, in Tallmadge, OH, a daughter of the late Olen and Sadie Everson Westfall. On September 1, 1951, she married Winford L. Champ who preceded her in death on August 9, 2009. Surviving are three daughters, Anita Campbell and Osie Geneva Blake and husband Alan Dale all of Buckhannon and Eleanor Corathers of Front Royal, VA; one son, James Heyward Champ and wife Doll of Buckhannon and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Patsy Marie Linger; one son, Winford Loyd "Bub" Champ, Jr.; one grandson, Billy Corathers; one granddaughter, Pooh Giles; one great-great granddaughter, Caliope Poling; four sons-in-law, Dorsey Campbell, Charles Corathers, Jackie Linger and William Poling; one daughter-in-law, Diann Lemon Champ and 12 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Champ was a machine operator at Moore Business Forms and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Hall, WV. She loved to sew, quilt and read. A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 1 PM in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Vegan, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
