Rose Marie Kaye (née Larys), age 87, of Madison Heights and formerly of Sterling Heights, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025, in Madison Heights, Michigan.
Born on August 8, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, Rose was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (née Kaminski) Larys. She began her professional career as a dedicated secretary with General Motors Corporation, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. Retirement, however, did not slow Rose down-she continued to serve her community with great joy and purpose as the Administrative Assistant for the Catechism Department at St. Louise Catholic Church in Warren, Michigan, where she became a cherished member of the parish staff and community.
Rose was a woman of deep faith, warmth, and generosity. She loved life and filled her days with the things she enjoyed most-golfing, playing cards and games, gardening, and spending meaningful time with her friends, neighbours, and especially her close-knit senior community. Her love for her family and friends was unwavering, and her spirit of kindness and joy left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was the devoted wife of the late Robert R. Kaye, loving mother of Michele Kaye and the late Robert M. Kaye, and cherished aunt to her three nieces, who will hold her memory dear.
Rose's gentle heart, lively spirit, and enduring faith will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who were blessed to know her..
Family and friends will gather to honor Rose with a visitation at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from 2-8 pm with a rosary at 5 pm.
Rose will lie in state on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of her funeral mass at 12:00 noon at SS Cyril & Methodius Slovak Catholic Church, 41233 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
