Rosemary Jean Bruens was born into this world in Chicago Heights, Illinois on the thirtieth day of August in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and thirty-nine to Wilbert and Marie (Steiner) Munsterman. She passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka at the age of 85.
She was given spiritual birth into God's family by the means of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Lawrence Hoeppner on the twelfth day of November 1939.
She was confirmed in her faith in Jesus Christ on the 21st day of September Nineteen Hundred Fifty-Two in Grace Lutheran Church of Rankin, Illinois by Pastor James McGee.
Rosemary was united in marriage to Delmar Bruens on the 29th day of November, nineteen hundred and fifty-eight by the Rev. Edwin Holmer. Delmar and Rosemary were blessed with one son: Darrell.
Rosemary is survived by her son, Darrell and Daughter-in-Law, Wilma Bruens of Noblesville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Dennis Glenn, Amanda Prittchet, and Katie Bruens; one great-grandchild, Kaleb Jennings; two nieces, Angela Lorden of Marshalltown, Iowa and Cindy Markowski of Lincoln, Nebraska; one nephew, Douglas Munsterman; three great-nieces Melissa, Amanda, and Justine; and one great-nephew, Cody.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar on November 26, 2013; her parents, her brother, Edward Munsterman; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Munsterman.
Rosemary attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Woodworth. She enjoyed farming, baseball, and basketball.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wedneday, July 16, 2025 at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. A private graveside service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Woodworth with Rev. Michael Ruhlig officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice.
