Rosemary Ann Shepley Gilbert, 64, of Edenton NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025 on Rocky Hock Rd.
A native of Brookline Massachusetts, Rosemary relocated to North Carolina with her immediate family. Rosemary loved her husband of 41 years unconditionally. She had a passion for her kids as well as her grandchildren. Rosemary's proudest moments revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was an amazing wife, mother, and an even better grandmother. She had a passion for helping everyone, especially the elderly. Rosemary dedicated her life as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her passion carried on through her final moments.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Deloris Rugemer Shepley; her father, Bernard Thomas Shepley; and her grandson, Matthew Jacob Gilbert. She is survived by her husband, Richard Gilbert; son, Stephen Gilbert and wife, Courtney Gilbert; son, Edward Gilbert and fiance, April Liverman; daughter, Jennifer Mann and her husband, Micheal Mann; two sisters, Patricia Giorgio, and Bernice Garcia; and several grandchildren, Steven Banks, Cameron Costa, Brianna Gilbert,Hailey Gilbert, Nathan Gilbert,Bradley Gilbert, Daniel Gilbert, Kaitlyn Rose Gilbert, James Robert Gilbert, and Parker Rose Gilbert. She was also expecting a great grandchild, along with many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Center Hill Baptist Church, 943 Sandy Ridge Rd.
