Rose Mary Richardson passed on June 28, 2025. She was born July 21, 1938 in Odessa, TX to Mary Lee Gates O'Donnell and Victor Bernard O'Donnell. She was the first born of three siblings. She was born on a ranch and spent her younger years there riding horses, playing with chickens, and cows. She loved the outdoors. She loved all animals. She spent time in Possum Kingdom, TX where she fished, swam with siblings and cousins, and spent time with her grandparents. She attended St. Edwards Parochial School in Carlsbad, NM. She graduated from Carlsbad High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Adan (Don) Gomez Duarte and they had three children. She enjoyed fishing, camping, visiting casinos, and dancing. She and Don were accomplished dancers. She met the love her life, Kenneth, at the Stevens Dance Hall in Carlsbad. She traveled the country with Kenneth in their travel trailer. In preparation of travel, Rosemary's job was to lock down all the doors and cabinets. She was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed cooking for her family. Green chile chicken enchiladas was her best dish. She worked as a dietary clerk at the hospital in Carlsbad. She supported all of her children and grand children's extra curricular activities. She attended games, recitals, and competitions. She loved cheering her daughter, Vicki, play softball. She was always in a spirited mood. In her later years, she loved to sip wine and brandy. She was a friend to everyone and beloved by all. Anyone who met Rosemary loved her. She never lost her sense of humor. She traveled to concerts with her daughters even meeting Neal McCoy at Isleta Amphitheater. She has the picture to prove it. She was nurturing and cared for those around her including caring for her elderly mother, until her passing. She was caring, calm, and easy going. She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Galindo of Silver City, NM and Angela Colteaux (Michael) of Longivew, TX, her brother William (Bud) O'Donnell of Henderson, NV, and her puppy, Buddy Richardson. She had six grandchildren, Jill Giles (Todd), Anthony Galindo (Shastine), Gregorio Galindo, Ryan Harvey (Rebecca), and Jaimie Galindo. She had eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Kenneth Richardson, sonin-law, Daniel Galindo, her son, Michael Duarte, her granddaughter, Erin Harvey, and her sister, Linda O'Donnell Small. A celebration of life is scheduled on July 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at La Paz Grahams Funeral Home, 555 W. Amador Ave., Las Cruces, NM.
