Roxanne Kay (Price) Plane, 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan died peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo, under the loving care of her family and Centri Care Navigators wonderful team.
Roxanne was born February 15, 1954, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Robert I. and Mary Louise (Hamilton) Price. She grew up in Battle Creek and was a 1972 graduate of Harper Creek High School. Roxanne began her career at the Calhoun County Career Center for five years, then at the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office, primarily for Frank Line. She was employed at the Radiation/Oncology Center Battle Creek Health System Leila Site for ten years and at the Kellogg Foundation for six years. Roxane retired in 2021, after 20 years, from the Federal Center, where she was a system specialist in information technology, working with the Northrup Grumman N.G.I.T.
Roxanne was united in marriage to James L. Plane on July 3, 1995, in Battle Creek. Surviving are her husband, Jim; son Joe (Jaime) Plane of Ft. Dodge, IA, daughter, Veronica Baker of Battle Creek; two grandsons, Bennett Plane, Aiden Trimble; two brothers, Robert A. Price of Harrison, MI, Ronald (Mary) Price of Rutherfordton, NC; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mary Price.
Roxanne was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #299, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 298 and the Polish National Alliance Lodge 2416. Roxanne enjoyed life to the fullest, golfing, gardening, doing crafts, playing co-ed softball and bowling with her lady friends. She loved music and dancing, her fur babies, being at the lake, and boating. Roxanne could tease you and make you love her with her smile. She enjoyed camping and was a seasonal camper for 15 years at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Fremont, IN. Roxanne will be remembered for her loving spirit.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Polish National Alliance Lodge 2416, 15 Clair St, Battle Creek, MI 49014.
Roxanne will be interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery, with a private family inurnment.
Memorial contributions may be made to Centrica Care Navigators / Hospice of SW Michigan, 5473 Croyden Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
