Funeral services for Mr. Roy Leon Barron will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at HIS Church, Pineville, with Reverend Steve Speer officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Barron, 86, of Deville, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Hilltop Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pineville, LA.

Mr. Barron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was a dedicated Mason and an active member of Shriners Hospital International, where he served as Past President of the Cenla Shrine. He was also a member of the Sheiks and a founding member of Malaika. His Masonic journey began while stationed in France, where he entered his Masonic preliminary in May 1965, was raised to Fellow Craft in July 1965, and achieved the rank of Master Mason in September 1965. He later joined the Abe Henson Lodge in 1988 and the W.D. Fisher Lodge in December 2001. Mr. Barron lived a life of service, commitment, and fellowship. His legacy of dedication to his family, his country, and his Masonic brothers will long be remembered.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Keri Huffman; his parents, Clyde and Earline Barron; one brother, Johnny Barron; and one great-granddaughter, Arden Clair Adams.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Donna Sue Barron of Deville; three daughters, Vicki Jenkins (Bruce) of Deville, Teri Strickland (Stanley) of Deville, and Kimberli Dressel (Andy) of Deville; one sister, Betty Jo McGuire of Conroe, Texas; eight grandsons, Jeremy Mabou, Blake Futch, Chad Futch, Cass Mabou, Evan Stewart, Cain Mabou, Kolby Jenkins, and Colton Strickland; four granddaughters, Holli Willis, Ashton Adams, Sami Dryden, and Ainsley Fontenot; three honorary granddaughters, Tiffany Smith, Mandi Butler, and Randi Lamkin; twenty-two great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A time of visitation will be held at HIS Church, Pineville, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 12:00 noon until time of service.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Shriners Hospital, 3100 Samford Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana, 71103.
