It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruby Ellen (Dottie) Byers, who left this world on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 94. She was born April 18, 1931 to Mildred and Garret Byers in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Dottie was a loving spirit who embraced life's adventures, dedicating herself to helping others with charisma and grace. She was a remarkable woman whose spirit and zest for life touched everyone she met. Dottie was not only a devoted friend and family member but also a passionate adventurer who found joy in the great outdoors. Her love for hunting and fishing was more than just a pastime; it was a way for her to connect with nature and share unforgettable moments with loved ones. Whether it was casting a line into a serene lake or trekking through the woods in search of the perfect game, Dottie approached each adventure with enthusiasm and a twinkle in her eye that inspired those around her.
Dottie's strong faith in God was the cornerstone of her life. She lived her beliefs with grace and conviction, embodying the values of love, kindness, and compassion. Her faith guided her through life's challenges and triumphs, and she was always ready to lend a hand or offer a comforting word to those in need. Dottie had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and cherished, and her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, warmth, and the aroma of her delicious cooking.
As we reflect on Dottie's life, we remember her not just for her adventurous spirit and unwavering faith, but also for her incredible ability to bring people together. Family gatherings were filled with stories, laughter, and the joy of shared experiences, all of which she cherished deeply. Dottie's legacy is one of love, adventure, and faith and she leaves behind a family and community that will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.
As we say goodbye to Ruby Ellen (Dottie) Byers, let us celebrate a life well-lived- a life that reminds us to embrace our passions, nurture our faith, and cherish the moments we share with one another. May we honor her memory by living our lives with the same joy, love and adventurous spirit that she so beautifully exemplified.
Dottie was preceded in death by her sisters, Jyme Byers and Audrey Martin.
She is survived by beloved brothers, James W. (Sonny) Byers, Johnathan Gary Byers and sister, Priscilla Byers (Robinson) Smith and many cherished nieces and nephews.
