Palmer-Rudolph Handzel, 81, a devoted husband and skilled machinist, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Springfield, MA. He was born on September 27, 1943, in Palmer, MA. Rudy was a life long resident of Palmer and was a graduate of Palmer High School.
Rudy dedicated many years of his life to his profession at Rathbone Corporation in Palmer, MA. He was known for his hard work and commitment to his craft. Outside of work, he had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending many hours outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Handzel; brother, Joseph Handzel of Monson; nieces, Debbie, Joanne and Laurie; nephews, Mike and Dave as well as several great nieces and great nephews Rudolph was preceded in death by his father, Joseph J Handzel, and his mother, Stephanie B. (Karczmarczyk) Handzel.
