Weddle Funeral Service - StaytonWith heavy hearts and deep love, we remember Ryker Thomas Pittam, whose vibrant spirit and boundless curiosity touched the lives of all who knew him. Born on September 17, 2005, in Salem, Oregon, to Angelia Deon Pittam and Otis Blaine Smith, Ryker grew up with a deep appreciation for nature, creativity, and connection.
A graduate of Albany Options School, Ryker proudly earned his diploma on April 16, 2024. He went on to become a certified WABO welder, applying his skill and dedication at SteelFab Oregon, where he was known for his work ethic and quiet strength.
Ryker’s passions were as expansive as the landscapes he loved to explore. He found joy behind the lens of a camera, capturing fleeting moments with an artist’s eye. Whether hiking forest trails, camping beneath starlit skies, or taking spontaneous road trips to the mountains or the coast, Ryker was most at home in the wild—especially when surrounded by family and friends. He had a deep love for music and cooking, often blending both into evenings filled with laughter and warmth. To know Ryker was to know a soul like no other—gentle, thoughtful, and profoundly genuine. His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.
Ryker is survived by his loving parents, Angelia and Otis; his cherished sisters, Rayanne Marie Pittam and Addison Jo (Pittam) Hollingshed; and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends who will carry his memory forward with love and reverence.
A memorial service honoring Ryker’s life will be held on September 13th at 2:00 PM at Weddle Funeral Service in Stayton, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oregon Wild, reflecting Ryker’s enduring love for the natural world.
Forever loved, forever missed—Ryker’s light will continue to shine in every forest breeze, every crashing wave, and every heart he touched.
