Sammy Earl Duncan, 66, of Hilldale, WV, previously of Terry, WV entered into his eternal rest on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home following a long illness.
He was born on July 28, 1958 at Beckley; he was the son of the late Herbert Quinton Duncan and Virginia Evelyn Ewing.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Duncan and his daughter, Cassandra Harrison and a sister, Vicki Curtis.
Sammy was a former mechanic at Mountaineer Brake and a former Pastor at Layland Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Becky Blair (Danny McMullin) of Layland, Samuel Duncan of Hilldale, Savannah Duncan of Pipestem, Angela Duncan of Pipestem, Belinda Weidensall (Jason Kaylor) of Beckley; grandchildren, Gabriel Kaylor and Arianna Kaylor both of Beckley, Arron Weidensall of Beckley, Jessica Duncan of PA, Kasey Minor of Beckley, Tyler Forren of Oak Hill, Montana Gardner of Rupert; great grandchildren, Grayson and Sammy of PA, River of Rupert; former wife and special friend, Sarah Swaggerty of Pipestem.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Chestnut Knob Baptist Church with Pastor Floyd Bolen officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family request that donations be made to the funeral home to defray expense.
