Sammy passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025 surrounded by family after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles V. McIntyre; mother, Lucille N. McIntyre; and Grandson, Michael Blake McIntyre. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Monica Quaid McIntyre; daughter, Jennifer Evans and husband Josh; son, Michael McIntyre. He also leaves behind his cousin, who was like a brother, Roy McIntyre and wife Regena. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Sage Pipes and husband Hank, Abbi Hanks, Brock McIntyre, Joleigh Evans, and Landrie Evans. He shared a special bond with his cherished dog daughter, Piper—the ruler of the house. He was also loved by his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Quaid and Allison Quaid Hughes and husband Tony; niece Mallory Barker and husband Chet; nephews Zach Smith and Skyler Hughes; Great nephew Lane Barker, along with his fishing buddies and numerous special friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at Sage Pipes’ residence, Saturday, July 19th, at 12 o'clock, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory.
In lieu of flowers please donate to: “Saving Paws of Caldwell” as Sammy loved animals, especially his Dog Daughter “Piper.” Sammy will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
