Samuel Lewis Waldrop, 76, of Moulton, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025 at his home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Bro. Marcus Lipscomb and Rev. Roger Aldridge officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.
Born on May 19, 1949 to the late Homer and Irene Hood Waldrop, Samuel was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. He later retired from TVA.
Survivors include his special friend, Brenda Cook; step-daughter, Angie (John) Johnson; step- grandchildren, Gabi Johnson and Bowdie Johnson; sisters, Dorothy (Golan) Harris, and Marie (Ronnie) Jones; brothers, Tommy Waldrop, Charlie (Kim) Waldrop, and Billy (Connie) Waldrop; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Waldrop, Floyd Waldrop, Gene Waldrop, and Bobby Waldrop; and sisters, Lorene Waldrop, and Ruth King.
Pallbearers will be Spencer Aldridge, Forrest Aldridge, Mark Montgomery, Matt Montgomery, Hank Dutton, and Roger Pennington. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Smith, Kenneth Parker, and Ronnie Sparks.
