Sandra "Sandy" DeGennaro, 86, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, July 11, 2025. She was born October 31, 1938, in Ashtabula, the daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Eurez) Sebastian. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Ashtabula High School. Sandy married Francis DeGennaro at Mother of Sorrow Church in Ashtabula. Sandy worked for Ashtabula Home Health Care in Ashtabula for many years. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Ashtabula. Sandy enjoyed flowers and working around her house. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her three dogs, Molly, Zoey, and Annie. She is survived by her children, Mark (Shelly) DeGennaro, Andrea (Mark) DeGennaro- Hanna, and Michael DeGennaro; two grandchildren, Amber (Danny) Marquez and Brooke Severino; and five great-grandchildren, Zach, Marcus, Deshaun, Lucy, and Franco; and great-great-grandson, Jaxson. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Francis, and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11AM at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Ashtabula. Calling hours will be held from 10 AM until the time of service at 11AM. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the family. Ducro Funeral Home is handling arrangements, online obituary, and condolences at www.ducro.com
