Sandra Edmonds Obituary

Sandra Chaney Edmonds, 78, of Reidsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 15, 2024, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Shannon Newsome officiating.  Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. At other times the family will receive friends at the home.

Sandra was born in Rockingham County to the late Troy Henry Chaney and Bertha Somers Mundy.  She worked many years as a medical secretary for Dr. Robert Woodward and Dr. Donald Carlson and was a longtime member at Reidsville Christian Church.  She loved to travel, especially to the beach, and no trip was complete unless she ate at Hoskins Restaurant at Ocean Drive in North Myrtle Beach, SC.  Sandra had a great love for animals, watching PBS and the Duke Blue Devils basketball team, spending time with her family and her dog, Oscar.  She was a dignified Christian lady who will be missed greatly by friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lee Edmonds; and brother, James Chaney.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Edmonds and husband, William McNally; her canine son, Oscar; grandchildren, Amanda Edmonds, Brittany Knowles (Brian), Jeremy Revis (Hannah), and grand dog, Milly Rhodalia; great grandchildren, Austin, Grayson, Armie, Gunner, Carlee Ray, Keegan and Tenley; daughter-in-law, Rayann Stultz (Phillip); special caregivers, Caroline Jones and Stacey Witt; along with many beloved longtime friends.
