Geraldine Petricka Obituary
She was born in New Prague, MN, on November 23, 1938, the daughter of George and Clara (Scheffler) Zaun. She graduated from New Prague High School. Geraldine married Walter Petricka on November 24, 1956, in New Prague. For over 40 years she worked in food service at Shakopee Public Schools.
Geraldine enjoyed playing cards and bingo. The family cabin on Fish Lake was the joy of her life, and she had fun waterskiing and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; son, Darin; infant daughters, Nancy Lee and Mary Lee; sister, Alice Deutsch; brothers-in-law, Urban Deutsch and Herman Beuch. She is survived by her son, David (Lois); grandchildren, Taylor (Mackenzie) and Spencer, Nelson (fiancée, Esmeralda) and Ethan; sister, Virginia Beuch.
Visitation Monday, October 27, 2025, from 9:30-11:30 AM at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee; followed by a Prayer Service at 11:30 AM. Interment Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee.
