Sandra Kay Lester, daughter of Robert Hager Lester and Nola Irene Roberts, was born on April 1, 1941, in Kopperston, West Virginia. Sandra was educated at Kopperton High School and graduated with the class of 1958.
On September 18, 1958, she was united in marriage to Howard Allen Lester. Sandra spent her working career as a director of crew training in the aviation industry. She was employed at Gensco Cargo in Nashville, Iasco Air Services, Southern Air Transport and Capitol Cargo,Inc.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Lane and Allen (Leesa) Lester, both of Creston; her brother, Tommy Lester of Smyrna, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Malinda Lester of Smyrna, Tenn.; along with 3 grandchildren. Daniel (Lindsey) Lane, Brian (April) Holloway and Shawn (Shyanne) Holloway; and 7 great-grandchildren, Atalynn, Brynlee and Ryder Holloway and Hunter, Lyla, Presley, Rhett Lane; and numerous other extended family.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen, and a brother, Doug Lester.
