Betty Elton Obituary
Mrs. Betty Jean Ward Elton, age 62 of Wrightsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Her family will have graveside celebration of life on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 348 Shady Grove Road, East Dublin, GA 31027. Reverend Curt Lysacker will officiate.
Mrs. Elton was born in Swainsboro, the daughter of the late John Benjamin Ward and the late Ruby Nell Fulford Ward. She worked at Dairylane for 18 years and was currently working for Sumner Pharmacy in Wrightsville. Betty was a very hard worker, and always very friendly with her customers. Her favorite color was purple and she collected lighthouses, masks, and dreamcatchers. Betty loved to fish, ride motorcycles, and ride dirt roads in her husbands “beat-up truck.” Her greatest enjoyment in life was her grandchildren. Betty attended Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Elton is survived by her husband of 25 years, William Charles Elton; children, Jonathan A. Crabb, Matthew Ryan Crabb and Emma Marier Todd, all of Macon; grandchildren, Tony Michaelis, Zariah Little, and A.J. Johnson; and siblings, Wanda Sue Wilkerson (Bobby), Mary Lynn Mason, Howard Ward, Patty Ward (Gary), and Becky Ward.
