(Albion) Sara L. Stirk age 69, passed away June 22, 2025 at United Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 17, 1955 in Union City PA, a daughter of the late John and Lois (Thompson) Hamilton and had lived in this area most of her life.
Sara graduated from Medina High School in 1973. She was member of Holy Family Parish, St. Mary’s Athletic Club, Albion Vets Club and the Albion Elks Lodge. She retired from the Town of Albion where she worked as Deputy Clerk for many years. Sara enjoyed camping, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Lisa Overacker; sister-in-law Karen Hamilton and her beloved beagle Cindy.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dennis; her daughters Carrie (Anthony Siragusa) O’Neill, Laura (Josh) Wolck; grandchildren Emma and Colby O’Neill and Josephine Wolck; brother Jack Hamilton as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
There are no prior calling hours. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday June 26th at 10:00am at Holy Family Parish, 106 S. Main St. Her burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to P.A.W.S 3371 Gaines Basin Rd. Albion NY 14411. Arrangements were entrusted to the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Albion.
