Sarah Marie Ferrell, born on November 14, 1952, in Tishomingo, Mississippi, departed this life on July 9, 2025, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a radiant soul who embraced the beauty of life with an open heart. Sarah was a devoted wife to Harold Ferrell for 51 cherished years. Together, they built a loving family that blossomed into the heart of her existence.
Her spirit shone brightly through her daughter Kelly Ferrell and her beloved grandchildren, Harley Ferrell Mosley and Jonathan Silas Mosley, who brought unparalleled joy to her life. Sarah's warmth extended beyond her immediate family; she had a way of connecting with every person she encountered, especially children. Her love for people, particularly babies, was evident in how she nurtured and entertained them in her home, creating a sanctuary of love and laughter.
A traveler at heart, Sarah enjoyed exploring the wonders of the National Parks, immersing herself in the beauty of nature. She had a profound appreciation for flower gardens and waterfalls, finding solace and joy in their presence. She also cherished her time spent sewing crafts with her family, creating treasured memories that would be passed down through generations.
Sarah's nurturing spirit was deeply rooted in her faith; she attended World Outreach Church, which played a significant role in her life. She had a remarkable personality that loved to entertain, bringing friends and family together in her home, where love and laughter thrived.
Sarah leaves behind her loving husband, Harold, her caring daughter, Kelly, and her treasured grandchildren, who will carry her legacy of kindness and warmth forward. She is also survived by her siblings, James Blunt (Thelma), Danny Blunt, Keith Blunt (Carol), Hazel Walters (Bruce), and Carolyn Samons (Alvis), along with a host of nieces and nephews who adored her.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, Hermon and Lois Edmondson Blunt, and her siblings Tommy Blunt, Eddie Blunt, Martha Blunt, and Rebecca Blunt. Though they have departed from this world, their memories will live on through the stories and the love they shared.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation will be held on July 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service officiated by Bro. Robbie Crane at 11:00 AM, both at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Blunt, Lee Gresham, Adam Wright, Michael Lambert, Ricky Lambert, and Joe Simpson.
Donations may be made in Sarah's honor to St. Jude’s's Children's Hospital or to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As we honor Sarah's life, let us remember her unyielding love for others and her unmatched spirit that brought joy to so many. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
