Scott House Obituary

Scott Nelson House, 60, of Delaware, OK, entered the gates of heaven on Friday, August 22, 2025. Scott was born February 9, 1965, in Bartlesville, OK, to Jesse Nelson House and Ettabelle (Raemhild) House. He graduated from Dewey High School in 1984 and then began a 10-year rodeo career as a bull rider. Scott hung up his spurs and began his career as a pipefitter. His job took him all over the world and he would talk about his wonderful job. He also worked as a window installer and other construction jobs. Scott married the love of his life, Susan Gordon, on May 6, 1995, in Caney, KS. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, riding horses, and tinkering, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved playing games with them and watching their various activities. Scott enjoyed hosting family bon fires, camping, cookouts, and fish fries. He liked to swing dance and taught his daughters how to dance in their living room. He was an all-around family man and would often encourage his family with the words, "Oh honey, it will be alright." Scott is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Susan (Gordon) House; three daughters, LeEtta Toye and her husband Zachery, Candice Taylor and her husband Jason, Hailey Pacheco and her husband Raphael; one son, Ike House and his wife Ashton; bonus children, Jennifer McLain, and Lisa Drumm and her husband Josh; eight grandchildren and one on the way, Aidan, Trevor, RaeLee, Jakob, Addyson, Charley, Jensen, Rosalie, and a baby girl waiting to be born; two sisters, Twila Fees, and Delsa Short and her husband Jim; two brothers, Steve House and his wife Lisa, and James House and his wife Debbie; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, at a business in Dewey, located at 926 Portland Ave., Dewey, OK, 74029. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Childers Cemetery, located on Road 419.
