Scott Wredling Obituary

Scott was a 2003 graduate of West Aurora High School. He then went on to graduate from the University of Iowa, where he received his bachelor's degree in English.
Scott enjoyed fishing (especially going up north), golfing, cheering on his Iowa Hawkeyes, and spending time with his friends and family.
Scott will be remembered not only for his unwavering kindness, quiet strength, and deep sense of compassion, but also for a remarkable sense of humor that could brighten any room. With a quick wit and impeccable timing, he had a gift for making people laugh.
Scott is survived by his wife, Samantha (Carson), his parents, Larry and Sue Wredling, his brother Bryan, sister Amy (Chris), and nephew Bradley. He is also survived by his in-laws, Bill and Jane Carson, and his sister-in-law, Briana.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 3 PM to 8 PM at The Healy Chapel Sugar Grove, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. The funeral service will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11 AM, also at The Healy Chapel Sugar Grove. An hour visitation will precede the service, from 10 AM to 11 AM.
Donations may be directed in memory of Scott to the American Brain Tumor Association, at www.ABTA.org.

Dear Wredling family my daughter Sarah Stein and I lived next to you on Westlawn. I can hear the kids voices in my head playing in the early summer evenings - good memories and then my brother Tim and his wife Jill bought your house. I am so very sad to read this. I've known Scott's mom for years and years. As I well know, the loss of a child brings unspeakable sadness.
