Sean Baird Obituary

Sean Michael Baird passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025. He was 16.
Sean was born on March 8, 2009, to Karen and Kevin Baird at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.
Sean loved the game of lacrosse and found his spot as a goalie at Caravel Academy and Brotherly Love. His teammates will forever remember the impact that he had on them. When not on the field, he could often be found skiing with his brothers and fishing with friends.
Sean was known for his quiet sense of humor, loyalty to the people he loved, and the way he always showed up for his teammates and friends. Whether he was cheering someone on from the sidelines or just being a steady presence, Sean had a way of making people feel seen. He brought heart to every game, every conversation, and every friendship. His kind spirit and one-of-a-kind laugh will live on in the memories of everyone lucky enough to know him.
He is survived by his parents, Karen and Kevin Baird, and his brothers, Ryan Baird and Colin Baird; maternal grandparents, Mary and Kenneth Hlavac; paternal grandparents, David and Nanci Baird, and Julia and Michael Fletcher; and a host of loving family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A gathering will be held starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Caravel Academy, 2801 Del Laws Rd, Bear, DE with a sharing service starting at 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Sean Baird Scholarship Fund at Caravel Academy. Contributions may be made by cash or check at the service or mailed to Caravel Academy, 2801 Del Laws Rd, Bear, DE 19701.
